Movement & Recovery

A weekly body-based recovery group for regulation, strength, and sustainable capacity.

Stress does not only live in the mind.

It shows up in the body — in sleep, tension, pain, fatigue, irritability, shutdown, and the inability to slow down.

The Movement & Recovery Group helps participants reconnect with the body, build capacity, and learn how to recover after load using guided movement, nervous system regulation, and the RCA framework.

Who This Group Is For

For people whose body is still carrying what the mind has moved past.

This group is for people who know they need to move — but who haven't found a way to do it that doesn't feel like punishment or pressure.

  • You feel disconnected from your body
  • You carry chronic stress, tension, or fatigue
  • You want to rebuild strength and confidence gradually
  • You need a lower-pressure way to begin movement
  • You are recovering from burnout, trauma, stress, or deconditioning
  • You want structure, accountability, and support
  • You want to improve regulation, recovery, and sustainable capacity

"Capacity is not how much someone can take. It is how well they can recover."

Most people in high-stress roles know how to push. They do not always know how to recover. This group teaches both — with movement as the entry point.

This is not about performance. It is about rebuilding the relationship between effort and rest.

What You Will Learn

Movement as recovery — not punishment.

How chronic stress accumulates in the body and why movement helps discharge it

How movement supports nervous system regulation and recovery

How to build capacity gradually — effort followed by adequate recovery

How to recognize overload signals before they become injury or shutdown

How to recover after effort — not just push through until the next demand

How to use movement without turning it into another performance standard

How to reconnect with strength, breath, posture, and physical rhythm

How rest and recovery are part of the work — not the absence of it

How to build sustainable home practices that don't require perfect conditions

The RCA Framework

Rhythm. Capacity. Agency.

The Movement & Recovery Group is organized around the Cadence Wellness RCA Model. Movement is the vehicle. Regulation, capacity, and agency are what gets built.

⟳ Rhythm

Restore Through Movement

Breath, repetition, structure, and physical routine help restore rhythm in the nervous system. Movement teaches the body what rest and recovery actually feel like.

◈ Capacity

Build Through Recovery

Capacity is built through manageable effort followed by adequate recovery — not through maximum output. This group teaches that distinction in the body, not just in theory.

◎ Agency

Choose Effort and Rest

Agency returns when participants learn they can choose their effort level, stop without shame, and listen to the body without fear of what it might say.

"The body keeps score. This group helps you start working with it instead of against it."
